The
Administrative
Council last
May
unanimously
approved and
has been
praying for
a Young
Adult
Ministry as
submitted by
Stephen
Karafa. One
component of
this
ministry
will be to
offer a
Methodist
101: Young
Adult
Edition
study.
Another
component is
an
opportunity
to worship
aimed at
18-30 year
olds (though
not limited
to that age
group),
acoustic in
music style
(hymns &
praise),
have
liturgical
elements
(apostle’s
creed,
Lord’s
prayer),
earth-friendly
(paperless),
with sermons
by Pastor
Sam and
others
within our
North
Georgia
Conference
with a focus
on
teaching-preaching.
The
FireHouse
name
represents
the House of
God that is
on fire for
the Lord and
617 because
June 17th is
John
Wesley’s
birthday. If
you are led
to be a part
of this
endeavor to
further
involve our
North
Cherokee
community in
worship with
your
prayers,
presence,
gifts,
service, and
witness, we
invite you
to join us
for
“preparation
prayer
meetings.”
